Join Frames

Required Parts:

  • 6x 30mm M2 Screws (these are the slightly larger diameter screws)

  • 6x M2 ('larger') Nuts

  • 6x 22mm Spacers

Join the upper and lower frames as shown in the images below.

Important Notes:

  • It is suggested to just start the nut on each screw. Don't tighten nuts until all 6 nuts have been started. This will make it easier to insert spacers between the two frames until all spacers are in place.

  • It is suggested to begin with the front most spacer as it is the most challenging to access.

  • These connections should be fairly tight. After the Spirit Main Board is installed, some of these screws won't be accessible.

  • If connections are made tight enough, the spacers will be compressed slightly between the two frame halves. This will keep tension on the nuts so they are not likely to become loose. Use of blue LocTite is not required, but may be used if desired.
